History

Nordenstedt & Holm Co was founded in 1879 and by the 1890s it was one of Uppsala’s largest employers.

Many years later the company gets renamed to Tullgarns Gjuteri & Mekaniska Verkstads AB and changes its production focus to facilitate the city’s metal and engineering industry. In March 17 1961, the foundry of Tullgarn delivers its last liquid iron to the molds for the last time!

Today it is home for 30 fully equipped apartments!
